My dear Riju

I have just received your letter. You have wanted to know about the cultural programme of our school. Here you are.

The Annual Function was a grand gala indeed. The programme was held in the Arambagh High SCHOOL  in that evening. No less than one hundred and fifty-strong audience was present there. The programme started with a chorus sung by the pupils of junior classes. Then Sukul Roy, our classmate, recited ‘Bidrohi’ with an emotive voice. It simply electrified us. Girls of class 11 staged a dance drama. Its topic was Khudiram Bose’s martyrdom. The presentation simply spellbound us. Finally, our Principal Abhijit sir told us about the importance of the day. He reminded us how revolutionaries sacrificed their lives at the altar of freedom struggle. When the programme came to an end, we all were charged with patriotic feelings.

No more today.
With love,

Your loving brother,

Rudra
