Neeraj Chopra, an Indian Javelin thrower and Tokyo Olympic Gold medalist
was born on 24 December 1997 at Khandaram Village in Haryana. His parents are Satish Kumar and Saroj Devi. He completed his graduation from Dayanand Anglo-Vedic
College in Chandigarh Neeraj Chopra Joined as junior commsison officer in 2016. He has been awarded a large number of medals. He is the first Indian athlete to win the world title at the U20 championships.
He has won Gold medal in Asian Games, 2018, commonwealth Games, 2018, 2016 South Asian Games, 2017 Asian champion- ships. At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Chopra won the gold medal on 7 August 2021. This is his greatest achievement. He became the first Indian to win a gold medal in Atheleties at Olympics. Neeraj Chopra has been awarded with the ‘Arjuna Award’ in 2018 and vishisht Seva medal in 2020. He has also received Major ‘Dhyan chand khel Ratna’ award (which is the highest Sporting hounor in India 2021) . He is the inspiration for the youth in India.
